HO HO HO

It's almost that time again. The chimney has been dusted, the cookies have been baked, the sidewalk has been swept, and the dog has been tied up. Bring it Santa Baby!

I still have a few lot more gifts to buy, bake, make, crochet, knit, and all have to be wrapped.

There will be no tree this year, just the garland that has been up since last Christmas. I will plug the lites in, I promise kids.   We will gather round the tiny miniature tree on the desk and sing carols like, "Grandma got run over by a reindeer", "Jingle Bells, Batman Smells", etc., and drink lukewarm instant cocoa with the rock hard mini mallows. Yum.

Christmas dinner might be corn dogs, mac n cheese, and fried taters. Hopefully there is enough ketchup to go around.   Just kidding, we all here are happily waiting on the jolly ole fat man to make his appearance. My daughter and I have a 3 day dinner all planned, traditional foods, turkey, ham, dressing, potatoes, sweet potatoes, and the all important can of jellied cranberry sauce, and you know it has to be the can with the ridges. Oh wait, I just remembered seeing the can of Thanksgiving sauce still in daughters fridge, whew. There was only one slice gone from it too.   I'm hoping for 5 different pies this year, pecan, pumpkin, peanut butter, pecan w/choc chips, and pecan.

Pecan,(single nut, crushed really fine, and suggested over the pies) being the way it will have to be this year. Prices are sooooo high we had to resort to borrowing a few nuts from the neighborhood squirrel, she weren't happy bout it either.

I want to wish all of you a very MERRY CHRISTMAS!
T
